EMDR -
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is a form of therapy that enables individuals to heal from the symptoms (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual) developed from
disturbing or traumatic life events.
When disturbing or traumatic events occur they can sometimes get caught in the brain's information processing center, causing emotional wounds to fester and contribute to suffering in all areas of life.
EMDR helps in removing the blocks so one's natural healing process may occur. Through the use of the 8-phases of treatment, eye movements and other forms of bi-lateral stimulation are used to accelerate the intellectual, emotional, and physical processing of past events.
EMDR therapy shows that the mind can heal from psychological trauma,
just as the body recovers from physical trauma.
Sessions can be held individually or in an intensive format.
